Special Event 2024

Introduction to Foraging

Welcome to the world of wild edible food! Gathering or foraging for food has become a trendy new pastime – it is also one of the oldest and primal relationships between us and the natural world. It is a great way to connect with nature and something primal within us. Wild food is often a more healthy and nutritious alternative, and can be much richer in essential vitamins and minerals.

Join us on our newest edible adventure! We’ll take a nature walk, meeting several edible and medicinal wild plants, covering best practices, edible/medicinal uses, identification, harvesting and preparation tips. Our adventure will end with a scrumptious tasting where we’ll sample several of the plants we meet. Our menu will include a wild soup, wild ice cream, fruit leather, pickles and more!
